Cheap Kids Snack

Crackers can be very expensive and buying prepackaged snacks for the kids even more so. This recipe is from Aarons grandmother and it is delicious the kids really like it.

16 oz. pkg. ranch dressing mix
1 cup salad oil
1/2 tsp. dill weed
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
22 oz. bag oyster crackers

In bowl, mix all ingredients together and let stand 2-3 hours, stir now and then.  Put in zip bags to store.

  1. I have a really good, easy recipe

Roasted chicken and carrots with olives and lemons.

chicken pieces - as many and whatever variety your family likes
2 lbs. carrots, cut into 2-inch pices
    1/2 cup pitted kalamata olives
    4 bay leaves (optional)
1 lemon cut into wedges (you can use just lemon juice too)
    2 Tbs. olive oil
    salt and pepper to taste
    paprika

Heat oven to 425. On large rimmed baking sheet (you can line with tin foil or parchment paper to make clean up easier) toss chicken, carrots, olives, bay leaves and lemon. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Arrange in a single layr and sprinkle the chicken with the paprika.
Roast, tossing the vegetables once, until the chicken is cooked thru and the carrots are tender. About 45-50 min.

    Really good and easy!

  2. Yum! This sounds delicious, I am always looking for new chicken recipes and this sounds really easy. Wish I had it before I threw italian dressing over my chicken breasts and just baked it in the oven (ho humm).
